DAY 1

Arrival in Riga / Check-in at the hotel / SPA

• Arrival to Riga airport. 
• Private transfer to the Wellton Riverside SPA Hotel, 4* in Riga old town. The driver will wait at the arrival hall with a name sign.
• Arrival to Wellton Riverside SPA Hotel, check in.

The hotel is located in Riga old town close to UNESCO world heritage attractions: House of the Blackheads, Riga Dome Cathedral, and Latvian National Opera. The bright, modern rooms are fitted with flat screen TV, WiFi, working desk, minibar, and safe. Rich buffet breakfast is served each morning at the property. The cocktail and sushi bar “After” offers a variety of dishes from Asian and European cuisine.

The standard rooms have a separate working area, bathrooms furnished with a shower or bath, air conditioning, as well as facilities for preparing hot drinks.

DAY 2

Old Riga walking excursion / Latvia Open-Air Ethnographic Museum / Night Kayaking in Riga Canal and Daugava River

• After breakfast, our English-speaking guide will meet you at the hotel lobby
• Walking tour in Old Town (2h). During the tour, you’ll enjoy the beauty of the ancient Hanseatic city while strolling through the cobblestone, picturesque streets of the old town. You’ll see the Dome Cathedral, the Church of St. Peter, the old Guild Houses, the Swedish Gate, the architectural ensemble Three Brothers, St. Jacob’s Church, the Parliament House, Old Riga Castle, and view the many wonderfully restored buildings, now housing cozy restaurants, cafés, bars and souvenir shops.
• Transfer to the Ethnographic Open-Air museum (0.5h).

Latvia Ethnographic Open-Air museum in Riga. An unusual pace can be found a half and hour’s drive from the centre of Riga on the shore of the Jugla Lake. Situated in a pine forest on the banks of Jugla Lake, the museum is one of the showpieces of Latvia's cultural heritage. It consists of some 90 traditional rural buildings: farmhouses, windmills, fishermen's huts and churches that have been assembled there from the provinces of Latvia. Take a leisurely walk and discover the lives of ancient Latvian farmers and fishermen.

Night kayaking in Riga city canal (2h). Water sightseeing adventure right in the city center! Explore Riga while kayaking through its historical canal, cross the widest river of Latvia and discover non-touristic nature spots within the urban area. This is a scenic night trip starting late in the evening, so you get to see the sun set in Daugava. Wait until the sun goes down and Riga city canal twinkles from the romantic lights and emotions. Amazing and relaxing adventure to help you discover Riga city at nighttime. Granted - you’ll get an insight of Riga from a completely different point of view!

DAY 3

In early morning (4am), meet with the guide for a transfer to Kemeri (1h).

• Sunrise in the Great Kemeri bog. Catch an amazing sunrise from the tower in the Great Kemeri bog. Enjoy the view with a hot cup of tea or coffee with snacks. The Great Kemeri heaths nature trail was established in 2000, and it today it is the longest and most impressive path of swamp footbridges in Latvia. The circular path introduces its visitors to the flora and fauna of the area and goes along beautiful swamp landscapes.
• Afterwards, a visit to Kaniera lake bird watching tower and reed boardwalk will let you explore preserved nature of a different kind.
• A drive through Ragaciems for a snack. We’ll visit the fishermen offering a traditionally served meal in Latvia: smoked fish.
• We’ll continue to the coast of the Baltic Sea. Latvia’s lengthy coastline never ceases to surprise with its dunes, steep cliffs, sandstone outcrops, impressive rocks and caverns. The coastline owes much of its charm to the fishing villages, the multiple areas untouched by civilization, imposing port cities, and the popular resort city of Jurmala.
• With miles of sandy beaches, swaying pine trees and deliciously fresh air, eclectic architecture and plenty of fun, Jurmala is a resort like no other. Originally a cluster of fishing villages, Jurmala has been a beloved seaside resort for over 200 years. The generations of folk coming to relax have left a unique architectural blend with everything from ornate timber cottages to giant Soviet concrete sanatoria, plus a few contemporary masterpieces.
• Transfer back to Riga. Free time.

DAY 4

Check-Out / Depart Riga

• Rich buffet breakfast at Wellton Riverside SPA Hotel restaurant. Free time in Riga. Check-out. Private transfer to Riga airport.
• End of services.
