SALT CATHEDRAL AND CITY TOUR WITH MONSERRATE

Departure to the town of Zipaquirá to enter at the Salt Cathedral, Catholic religious temple conditioned in the tunnels that are no longer exploited from a salt mine. At the end of the visit to the cathedral, there will be a brief panoramic tour to learn about the Colonial and Republican architecture that the village of Zipaquirá conserves, time to take lunch in a local restaurant. At the agreed time, return to Bogotá to continuation with the panoramic and walking route through the historical center of Bogotá and through its streets nuanced by facades with colonial and republican styles. Entrance to the art museum of the Banco de la República, where the Botero Museum is visited to observe one of the most recognized art samples of the Colombian master. Continuation of the tour through the Plaza de Bolívar, where you can admire the Palacio de San Carlos, the Casa de Nariño, residence of the President of the Republic, the Catedral Primada, the National Capitol and the Liévano Palace. Visit to the Gold Museum, to visit one of the most important museums in the country and its rooms in which are exhibited pieces of the Pre-Columbian goldsmith. We will finish the visit with the ascent by cable car or funicular to the Cerro de Monserrate to visit the Sanctuary and from there enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city.

• The Gold Museum is closed on Monday and the Botero Museum is closed on Tuesday.

• On Sunday we do not operate the ascent to Cerro de Monserrate, instead we visit the Casa Quinta de Bolívar Museum.

HALF DAY - CITY TOUR: TOUR OF COLONIAL AND MODERN LIMA & LARCO MUSEUM (PRIVATE)

You will visit the modern and colonial parts of Lima, known as The City of Kings, starting at the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, and passing along a huaca or sacred pre-Inca site, before heading to the Historic Center. There, you will walk along some of the most historically important streets of the city, leading to the Plaza de Armas, where you will have some time to take pictures of the amazing colonial architecture that surrounds it. You will also have the chance to take a peek into an iconic building, that has served Lima’s citizens for centuries and continues to be an important landmark. Then you will visit the impressive Convent of Santo Domingo, an astonishing building with colonial style. After exploring the Historical Center, you will head towards the Larco Museum, which houses the incomparable Treasures of Ancient Peru private collection.

VISIT PISAC MARKET AND OLLANTAYTAMBO ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMPLEX - FULL DAY (PRIVATE)

You will head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to visit the town of Pisac. Before arriving, you will visit the Awanakancha craft shop, where you can also observe local fauna. A stop at the Taray viewpoint will give you an unbeatable view of the area. Once in Pisac, you will visit its colorful market, which will captivate you with its original Andean essence. Afterwards, you will head to a typical restaurant to enjoy lunch. Continue to Ollantaytambo, military, religious and agricultural center of the Incas, located on top of a mountain. From there you can appreciate the narrow streets of the town that bears the same name, as well as its canals, which have not changed since the Inca Empire. Finally, you can tour the beautiful town to get wrapped up in the unique Andean energy.

FULL DAY MACHU PICCHU (LOCAL PRIVATE GUIDE)

You will visit one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. Your excursion starts aboard a train towards the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train ride the best way to start your visit. Once you arrive, you will begin the ascent to the ruins. This visit will, without a doubt, be one of your most memorable experiences. After you reach the top, you will take a tour of Machu Picchu, learning the history and mysteries of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. And, with amazing sceneries all around, you will surely have more than one spectacular photo-op. Then, back to Aguas Calientes.

HALF DAY UROS ISLAND (PRIVATE)

This excursion starts with transport from your hotel to the pier on Puno Bay. Here you will board the boat to take you to Uros, floating islands made by their inhabitants. The people of the floating islands live by fishing and hunting, as well as sales of handicrafts. There are 55 islands in total, with an average of two thousand inhabitants. Afterwards you will be taken back to Puno and then to your hotel.

CITY TOUR AND VISIT TO THE MOON VALLEY (PRIVATE)

You will embark on a 4 hour tour around the city of La Paz, elected as one of the 7 Wonder Cities of the World. Located at the foot of the Andes Mountain Range, it rises 3632 m.a.s.l. You will visit the market area, where you will find crafts, textiles and witchcraft artefacts. Discover the colonial part of the city, the San Francisco Church, the Gold Museum, the Murillo Square and the Killi Killi Viewpoint, from where you will have an enviable view of the city and of the Tiahuanaco fortress replica. Then, you will head to the modern part of the city to visit the Valley of the Moon, an impressive place due to its peculiar formations, a consequence of erosion. Finally, you will ride the cable-car and discover the incomparable and beautiful view of La Paz.

TIAHUANACO RUINS (PRIVATE)

You will visit Tiahuanaco, a citadel located 72 kilometers from La Paz. On the way, you will cross the Bolivian highlands, where you will have the chance to observe the Aymara way of life. This fortress is one of the most ancient in American culture, and it is considered as one of the most intricate constructions of its time. You will explore its main constructions, like the Kalasasaya temple, the Ponce and Fraile monoliths, the Akapana pyramid, among others. You will also visit its two site museums to appreciate its ceramic and stone work up-close.
